Our hiking tips
Walk to the Tritschalpe
For an easy walk, we recommend the 10 km route up to the Tritschalpe, which sits at 1,730 metres above sea level. Take in the picturesque mountain scenery as you walk through St Anton, and stop off at a traditional alpine hut along the way.
The Mutspuren circular trail
With its interactive stations and entertaining water features, this trail is especially well suited to walking in St Anton with children. The roughly 5 km route starts at the top station of the Galzigbahn, which lies close to our walking hotels in Austria.
On the interactive map you'll find a detailed description of the Mutspuren trail, including the elevation profile, route planner and download options.
Alpine walk to the Putzen Alpe
The idyllic Putzen Alpe is one of the most rewarding destinations to discover around our walking hotels in Tyrol. You reach the hut via a walking trail of around 11 km that leads through unspoilt mountain landscape. The pasture has its own dairy, where a variety of cheese specialities are made. In the cosy alpine inn you can enjoy Tyrolean classics such as Gröstl and bacon dumplings.
